North Chicago High School has needed a complete revamp from the bottom to the top for many years now. The implementation of new leadership, namely yourself, at the high school, appears to be a last ditch attempt to save this sinking ship from state takeover. This will be the ultimate test and is one of many problems that has plagued the high school, and district as a whole, for years. Some of the most glaring issues to date continue to include lack of effective leadership, lack of care and concern for children with special needs, minimal stability among teachers and especially administrators, and a disgusting lack of parental involvement are just a few of the issues you as the new principal will be confronted with this 07/08 school year. My question is this, what is the strategy to raise the scores of the underachieving students to the standard that No Child Left Behind has set? That information should be available to the public, especially parents, teachers, and administrators.
