Registration Requirements

Parents:
As you prepare to register your child at NCCHS for the 2007-08 school year, please note that you will need to provide the following for registration:

Verification of Residence
  • You will need three (3) different verification documents (examples: current gas bill, current light bill, current cable bill, driver's license, mortgage statement, original & typed lease agreement)
Medical Information
  • Updated immunization record, medical history record, and physical examination forms for athletes
  • All freshmen and students new to North Chicago School District #187 are to provide documentation of a having a medical examination in the past year.
  • Students participating in extracurricular sports must have an annual physical exam
Payment of Fees
  • Previous obligations must be paid prior to registering for the 2007-08 School Year
  • The registration fee is $95.00 for students or $45.00 for students receiving free/reduced lunches (Cash, Cashier's Check or Money Order are acceptable)
  • Deferred Payment Plan Available

NCCHS PTO/Booster Club Officers

Congratulations to the newly elected PTO/Booster Club Officers for 2007-08:

Ms. Regina Packard, President
Ms. Gloria Scott, Vice-President
Ms. Gina Shaw, Secretary
Ms. Kim Lee, Treasurer

The PTO/Booster Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the NCCHS Library. Membership is $10.00 per family. The PTO/Booster Club will have members available during Student Registration ( August 7-13) and at the North Chicago Annual Community Day Celebration on August 4, 2007 to solicit membership and volunteers in support of our wonderful students attending North Chicago Community High School!

First Day of School

Students and Parents:
This is a reminder that the first day of school for the North Chicago Community Unit School District 187 is August 23, 2007. For NCCHS, classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will last until 11:00 a.m. on the first day. Afterwards, we will resume our typical schedule, 8:00 a.m. until 2:55 p.m.

Welcome Back Letter To NCHS Community

Dear Students and Parents of The North Chicago High School Community:

I am delighted to serve as the new Principal of North Community High School. I come to you with vast professional and personal experience as a high school principal, middle school principal, secondary assistant principal, central office administrator, and secondary Language Arts teacher. Most of my experiences occurred in the Austin Independent School District, Austin, Texas. I am excited about the future of North Chicago High School and look forward to working with the entire North Chicago High School community towards academic excellence for all.
